Meet baby {E}

A great compliment for photographers is a referral. This sweet baby came to me from a sweet friend. I enjoyed every minute talking with her mom, dad and Grandma. Little {E} was soooo hungry, she probably ate about 75% of the time that we were together. We could not figure out where she was putting it all. I am sure she wont be this little bitty baby for long. It is sad how fast our sweet children grow, yet amazing all at the same time.

{E} is a military baby so we made sure to get pictures of her on her daddy's Marine uniform.

I always tell our mommy's that they are more than welcome to sleep while they are with us....in this case, Daddy is a night worker and was extremely tired. He napped on our sofa!

We couldn't finish without a quick picture of the new family together.

Im starting to realize that I shoot a ton of horizontal images. I need to shoot more vertical!!! :)

Meet the {B Family}

Once of the greatest parts of my job is getting to meet wonderful families. I seriously meet some of the nicest people. This family was no exception. They were new to Texas and invited me into their home for a session. It was extremely windy outside and the weather was iffy...this is Texas you know, so we kept it at their home. They definitely have some beautiful girls!

I love feet pictures. I don't know why because I do not really like feet in general....but I LOVE the feet pictures.

Photographer maternity session

I think one of the biggest compliments a photographer can get is being asked to photograph a family of another photographer. It was very wind the day that we decided to shoot but made do with the weather....as the only other choice was to reschedule. The sun was in and out which made it a little difficult, but we got some great shots. She has the cutest belly and equally adorable children!

Beautiful light and a beautiful belly

The evening we went out for this was perfect. A tad warm, as it is Texas and there are no summer evenings that aren't, but the light was beautiful! I was very happy to finally meet her husband and kiddos. You can definitely see the love they have for one another.

Adorable little {Paisley} and her sweet mom and dad.

Paisley is really lucky to have a great set of parents. In the short time we had together I could see how fun they were and how much they were meant to be together! They made a pretty adorable baby. She was very sweet and we were surprised to actually have her asleep in a few of her pictures. Towards the end we made it outside for a few fun pictures. It is extremely hot here in Texas, so it was a very SHORT outside visit! But you see, dad has this really fun tattoo, and Paisley's momma found a onesie with the very same design. So it was a definite....they had to be in a picture together!

I love the "Blue Steele" face! And doesn't Paisley's mom have the most beautiful hair? I call it mermaid hair, and not because its red! I want mermaid hair! ;)

Hospital Birth

Look at me go! Two posts in one week! Im telling you...Im going to catch up!

This is a very special post for me as it is someone very near and dear to my heart. And she has had the hardest time delivering her babies! This is my best friend, my "soul sister" as we say. We have had a very interesting story and past and we have had LOTS of ups and downs. However we have always found our way back! Now we are just older and wiser and then are just a ton of ups and no downs!

Okay so let me tell you a little of our back history. We "knew" about each other when we were in 5th grade. I moved into a neighborhood just down the road from hers. We would soon be starting 6th grade in the same school. Her boyfriend lived down the street from me, however I did not know that it was her boyfriend. :) Needless to say he was a fifth grade boy and soon recruited me to be his girlfriend. We spent a ton of time playing video games and playing at the park. As much of a young boyfriend/girlfriend relationship as it could be. I soon found out about her and knew that she did not particularly care for me. So school starts and what do I do? I decide that I need to become friends with her. It was the start of a beautiful friendship! lol. She could't resist me, even though she called me Steffanie square Oval. My last name was Oles so she thought square oval would be a good name. I love how the 6th grade mind works! So fast forward MANY MANY years....we are the best of friends.

Alright, now on to her birth stories. She has very stubborn babies...as in they want to come out feet first. So C-Sections are the way she has had to go. The first time the anesthesiologists could not get her epidural in, and had to put her completely under. No one wants to do that and not see their baby! This time her water broke early and had to rush in for an emergency c-section. She texted me at about 4:30 or 5 I believe. I thought it was a joke! So I jump up and get dressed and rush out the door! We arrived at the hospital at the same time! Luckily when they got there, baby was not trying to hurry and come out, so they were able to take a little more time. She did not have to be put completely under. She was completely anxious about being awake but the doctors were amazing and completely talked her down. I walked into the room to get my bag just as they were walking in, it was SO hard to see my best friend so upset and scared. Thank God for great doctors!

Proud Grandmas!

I love this. Can you see her pajamas? She kept taking them off, so they had to cut the feet off the pajamas and turn them backwards! And since it was so early in the morning, they had to take her in them.

E was not sure what to think about her baby brother!
